Rice, particularly whole grain or brown rice, is one of the earthÕs finest foods.  It has been grown on earth for at least several thousand years, and probably much longer.  However, today we do not recommend eating much rice because medical reports indicate that it has ALL been poisoned.  This applies to all varieties of rice.




We donÕt know the cause of the problem.  It could be a different strains of rice are being grown today.  We just observe that there is a problem with rice.

Formerly, this article stated that the problem was contamination with arsenic.  Although rice is prone to this problem, we now donÕt believe that the problem is just a toxin such as arsenic.




1. DonÕt eat much rice.  Ideally, avoid it or have rice less than once a week.

2. Basmati rice (white or brown) seems to be a little less toxic than other types of rice.

3. Rinsing your rice thoroughly before eating it will not help.

4.  Soaking the rice overnight and then cooking it in fresh water will not help.

5. Instead of rice, eat a lot more cooked vegetables.  These are needed for their content of the alkaline reserve minerals and many other nutrients. 

Eat some blue corn chips if you can obtain them.  They contain chemicals required for development. 

You can also eat other whole grains, such as yellow corn, quinoa, millet, amaranth, and oatmeal.  We do not recommend wheat or spelt, which are very hybridized today and irritating to the intestines.  TodayÕs wheat has too much glutamic acid, among other problems.




Does this affect organically grown rice?  The unfortunate answer is yes.


What are the symptoms of arsenic poisoning from eating rice?  Symptoms can include fatigue, malaise, digestive upset or other rather vague symptoms.


Can one taste or smell the contaminated rice?  No.


Can I eat rice once a week?  That is better than eating it daily, as millions of people do around the world.  However, we suggest avoiding it completely or eat it even less often until the problem is fixed.


What can I do if I have been eating a lot of rice for years? The problem is fairly new.  Just stop eating the rice and your body will recover.
