THE TEN COMMANDMENTS OF DEATH

People do not realize how important are the 10 Commandments given to Moses on Mount Sinai if you want to be healthy and happy. One way to appreciate them more is to look at their opposites, and what happens when you ignore the original 10 and instead follow their opposites.

1. You may put whatever you wish before the living one God. (the opposite of You shall have no other gods before me.). This opposite is a common belief today. It means that you can worship whatever you wish – money, sex, drugs such as marijuana and cocaine, your friends or lovers, your house, your pets, etc.

The trouble with this is that you become confused, since your house, your friend, your dog, or your sexual organs do not give you good enough information or insight about your environment and everything else around you. Lack of insight and true information always leads eventually to death.

This is similar to the first commandment above. I may expand upon it later, but for now I will just say that it is the same idea of placing whatever you wish first in your life.

2. You can make idols, graven images and you can worship them instead of the living God. (the opposite of you shall not make graven images or idols, and you must not bow down to them.)

This is somewhat similar to the first commandment, so I will not dwell upon it at this time. Perhaps in the future I will expand on it, however.

3. You may curse God and speak the NAME of God in vain. (the opposite of Thou shalt not take the name of God in vain.) This has to do with using the name of God in an improper manner. It is the selfish use of the NAME of God. It is done commonly. It may also be about lying in the name of God. For example, people say “I swear to God that I didn’t steal your husband away”, when in fact they did. It is bad enough to do the deed, but to swear to it using the name of God is much worse.

Another very common example is that our politicians always swear an oath with their right hand on the Bible to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America. Too often, today, those politicians are lying about this. They hate the Constitution, which they see as an old dusty piece of paper that gets in the way of their power and control over the people.
