PLASTIC CONTAINERS

Buying
food and water in plastic containers is okay, but not ideal. Even the purest plastic container leaves
a little chemical residue in the food.
If possible, buy food loose or in a glass or ceramic container.
However, food sold in plastic
containers or wrapped in plastic can often be cleaned up. Here is the procedure:
1. Move the
food into a glass or ceramic container.
Ideally, the top as well as the container should not be plastic.
2. Leave the
top of the container open a little so that air can circulate and the food can
outgas. Also, stir the food or
water around a little to help outgassing.
3. Leave the
food with the top open a little for at least 15 minutes. It can be in the refrigerator if the
food requires this. After about 15
minutes, close up the container.
