Gastritis is a common disorder of the stomach.  It is characterized by pain in the middle or slightly to the left of center in the upper abdomen.  This is the location of the stomach.  The pain can be sharp or dull.  It differs from the pain of an ulcer because it is usually worse when one eats or afterwards.  In contrast, the pain of an ulcer usually gets better when one eats food.

CAUSES FOR GASTRITIS

Causes include low zinc, high copper, infection in the stomach of some kind, and very often nervousness and fear are causes for gastritis.  Parasitic infection is possible, and food allergies or a deficiency of digestive enzymes is also possible.  Overeating can cause it in a few cases, or eating too many foods at one meal, or a poor food combination.  Even drinking too much liquid with meals could cause this type of stomach pain.

CORRECTION OF GASTRITIS

The simples approach is to begin by changing your diet and eating habits.  Follow our dietary recommendations as outlined in articles such as The Healing Lifestyle.  This means to eat NO fruit, no fruit juices, no sugars, no wheat, and no chemicalized or junk foods.  Instead, eat mainly cooked vegetables, animal protein daily, and a little whole grain, but not wheat products.  Also, do not drink liquids with meals and at first have only one or two foods per meal.  Sit quietly at meals, eat slowly, chew thoroughly and relax at mealtime.

Relaxation and meditation may also be very important to relieve symptoms of gastritis.  Also, take a digestive aid with each meal such as GB-3 or Enzaid from Endomet Laboratories in Phoenix, Arizona.

If these measures are not sufficient, I recommend a complete nutritional balancing program based on the findings from a properly performed and correctly interpreted hair tissue mineral analysis.  This can identify many other causes for gastritis such as:

1. Inflammation tendency in the body

2. Infection, perhaps

3. Zinc and copper imbalance

4. Other toxic metals that could be a factor

5. Other types of mineral imbalances that may need correcting.
