I. INTRODUCTION

A set of somewhat unknown dietary concepts are the basis for the development diets. The ideas are ancient. If they seem foreign or unusual, it is only because they are not commonly taught in schools, universities and in the media.

Why the dietary concepts are not taught widely. One reason is ignorance. Current mainstream medical science does not emphasize diet and dietary science is not hardly taught in medical and other healing schools. Even holistic and naturopathic education today emphasizes remedies rather than dietary science.

Also, some people who control education and health care on earth do not want the dietary concepts in this article taught widely because they make people much stronger and healthier. This makes people much more independent and difficult to influence and control.

We know this assertion sounds negative and perhaps even paranoid. However, it is the inescapable conclusion one reaches when one investigates the subject thoroughly.

Integration. The concepts below need to be viewed as a whole system. Focusing on just one or another of the principles does not work well and we find is a mistake.

II. THE DEVELOPMENT SCIENCE DIETARY CONCEPTS

ALL BODIES TODAY ARE BORN MALNOURISHED AND THE MALNUTRITION USUALLY BECOMES WORSE AS ONE AGES

We find that most everyone today begins life badly malnourished and toxic, no matter how healthy one looks or feels. This is the reason for most childhood and adult illness. It also slows or often stops development, a goal discussed below.

The cause of the malnutrition and toxicity is malnutrition of all mothers. This, in turn, is due to the low nutritional quality of food on earth and other factors such as stress, trauma, and unhealthy lifestyles.

PROPERLY NOURISHING THE BODY TODAY IS NOT EASY

This is the truth even if one has access to, can afford, and is willing to eat only the highest quality food. The reason is depletion of the minerals in the soils of the world, toxic agricultural practices in many places, and harmful refining and processing of many foods.

Thus, in order to provide the body with what it needs requires a special diet that some people find unusual. Also for this reason, we strongly recommend three or even four meals per day.

We find that skipping meals, intermittent fasting and other methods to reduce food intake always lead to malnutrition, no matter what other benefits they may provide. For details, read Fasting and Intermittent Fasting.

SUPPLEMENTS ARE NEEDED

For optimum health, everyone needs several nutritional supplements including calcium, magnesium, zinc, omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin D3 and kelp. Without these, we find a person cannot obtain all the nutrients required for health. On development programs, we use supplements for at least 10 purposes. For details, read Why Take supplements?

EVERYONE HAS LIMITED STOMACH CAPACITY

To renourish the body, one cannot just flood the body with food. Too much food at one meal just makes one ill and does not improve nutrition. Our limited stomach capacity limits the amount of food and thus nutrients one can introduce into the body.

For this reason, we must choose carefully which foods to eat so as not to waste precious stomach capacity.

Related to this idea are other limitations of the digestive system, such as limited enzymatic power to digest food. However, here we can assist by taking digestive enzymes, which are part of every development program to help overcome this limitation.

DIGESTION IS WEAK TODAY IN EVERYONE

This is an important dietary principle. It is due to congenital and acquired malnutrition, ionizing radiation, and too many toxic metals and chemicals in the environment and food. It can also be due to stress and sometimes other factors such as poor eating habits.

This concept means that even if one eats the finest quality food, the absorption of nutrients from that food tends to be poor in everyone. This is a powerful limiting factor for healing and for development.

An important goal of the development program is to improve digestion. This requires a lot of care with diet and usually five years or more on the development program. For details, read Digestion.

THE CONCEPT OF BALANCING TWO BASIC COMPLEMENTARY AND OPPOSITE FORCES IS AN ESSENTIAL NUTRITIONAL CONCEPT

This physics principle is found in the Bible in the first chapter of Genesis. It is also a principle of ancient taoism, acupuncture, macrobiotics and other ancient and modern sciences. However, it is not taught by the medical and nutrition professions.

In the oriental sciences, this is called the principle of yin and yang. We sometimes use these words because there are no good equivalents in the English language.

We find that all bodies today are too cold and expanded – or yin - and often unhealthy for these reasons. The diet needs to take this into account in order to help balance the body in this regard.

For example, cooking most food increases the warmth or yang energy of the food, so we recommend cooking most food. Using natural sea salt also has this effect. In contrast, fruit and sugars are very cold and expanded foods, so we do not recommend them. For details, read Fruit-eating, Sodium And Salt-Eating, Cooking and Cooked Versus Raw Food.

Fermented foods are aiso quite yin, so we do not recommend them much. A few fermented foods are okay in small quantity such as goat yogurt and goat cheese, sauerkraut and miso. We recommend avoiding the others. For details, read Fermented Food – And Why Avoid Most Of Them.

THE OXIDATION RATE INFLUENCES THE PROPORTIONS OF FATS AND CARBOHYDRATES THAT A PERSON REQUIRES FOR OPTIMUM NUTRITION

This is a little known and controversial idea in nutrition. However, we find it to be a central concept. It relates to the ideas of balancing opposing forces in the body.

It also relates to metabolic typing, another idea that is not part of mainstream medical or nutritional or most holistic healing sciences. For details, read Metabolic Typing, The Oxidation Types and related articles on this site.

FOOD AND DIET CAN HELP MOVE SUBTLE ENERGY PROPERLY THROUGH THE BODY

Moving subtle energy correctly through tiny channels that run vertically trough the body is a central idea in development science. This idea is known in acupuncture, acupressure and a few other older sciences. However, it is not taught in conventional medical or nutritional schools.

The proper direction of movement of subtle energy is from the head to the feet. In many people, however, subtle energy flows upward. Words in our language reflect this reality such as upset, uptight, and mixed up. Correcting the flow of subtle energy is essential for healing. For details, read Downward Movement of Energy And Healing, The Pulling Down Procedure and Down Sex And Down Hugging.

In the diet, spicy, sugary and chemical-laden food tends to move energy upward from the feet to the head, so we suggest avoiding it. Cooked vegetables and simple, wholesome meals tend to move subtle energy downward.

THE BEST ORDER IN WHICH TO EAT FOODS IS TO HAVE PROTEIN FIRST, THEN VEGETABLES AND THEN CARBOHYDRATES

The souls tell us this order is best for digestion. It is an aspect of food combining. It is not one of the most important dietary principles, but it will assist digestion and is therefore helpful for everyone.

EATING HABIT CAN HAVE A GREAT INFLUENCE UPON DIGESTION AND ABSORPTION OF NUTRIENTS

This idea is also not taught much to doctors and nutritionists. However, we consider it very important. We recommend sit down meals, quiet meals, pleasant conversation at mealtime and thorough chewing.

We also recommend saying a prayer before and after meals, and sitting quietly for a few minutes before the meal and for 10 minutes after the meal before getting up. Avoid eating standing up, eating on the run, eating while driving, and eating in noisy environments.

DEVELOPMENT AND MATURITY ARE THE GOALS OF THE DIETARY PROGRAMS

The reason for this is that development and maturity produce the healthiest, most long-lived and most moral human beings. Development and maturity also heal most illness in the body and mind.

Development is the growth of the energy field of a human being and is a genetic science. For development to occur, one must activate thousands of genes that are not active in most people. The main requirement for this to occur is special nutrition. For details, read Introduction To Development and other articles about development on this website.

Maturity is not specifically a nutritional concept. It is about principles of living and working that are found in books such as the Bible. However, excellent nutrition greatly assists the brain to function well so that one can mature faster. For details, read Maturing And How To Mature Faster.

DEVELOPMENT REQUIRES CERTAIN CHEMICALS FOUND ONLY IN SPECIFIC FOODS

The diets we recommend are not “balanced” by the world’s standards because they favor foods that cause development. We also recommend avoiding foods that either do not promote development or that interfere with it.

The special foods for development. These include certain cooked vegetables such as all onions, leeks, shallots, scallions, orange carrots, rutabaga, red cabbage, savoy cabbage, Brussels sprouts, green beans, daikon, broccolini, and a small amount of horseradish root, garlic, celery, and ginger.

Other special foods for development are blue corn chips, sardines, lamb, toasted almond butter and roasted sesame tahini. Others are grass fed beef, natural chicken, and goat yogurt or fresh goat cheese.

Foods to avoid. Foods that slow or stop development include all pig products, shellfish, and all heavily refined, spoiled and chemical-laden food. Fruit, sugars, sweets and vegetables that are botanically fruits (such as peppers, tomatoes, and squashes) tend to slow development because they cause the body to become more yin or cold.

Cooking methods. Cooking with water and lower temperature cooking promotes development. Frying, broiling, roasting, barbeque and other food prepared by high-temperature cooking is not as helpful. We need a few foods cooked this way such as blue corn tortilla chips and roasted almond butter and roasted sesame tahini. Otherwise, we do not recommend cooking without water at high temperature.

For complete lists of recommended foods, read Foods For Daily use, Foods For Occasional Use and Forbidden Foods.

DEVELOPMENT AND MATURITY TAKE TIME

Given this situation, to develop quickly most or all of one’s food needs to be correct. Eating other foods may feel good, but they take up stomach capacity and slow development. In other words, one needs a long-term view when choosing one’s food if one is interested in development.
