NEAR INFRARED LIGHT SAUNA

This sauna consists of a frame made of pvc water pipe that does not outgas, covered with two layers of 100% cotton duck cloth that is sewn to fit neatly over the frame. A small electrical unit attaches to the frame and contains three near infrared heat lamps. These provide the power for the sauna.

THE NEAR INFRARED LIGHT SAUNA

The near infrared light sauna is a new type of sauna available only in the past 8 years. It is unique in that it makes use of infrared heat lamps to heat the sauna, instead of either a traditional hot rocks heater or far infrared heating elements that are used in all far infrared saunas. The near infrared type is not well-known so this page will provide more details about it. Feedback from our clients is that the near infrared type is better. The advantages are:

· It uses about half again less electricity than a far infrared, so it is quite a bit less expensive to operate.

· It needs less preheating and operates at a more comfortable and lower temperature.

· The rays penetrate about twice as deeply as in far infrared saunas. This is most helpful for healing deep infections and removing toxic metals from deep inside the body.

· The rays can easily be focused on one part of the body. This cannot be done with the other types of saunas.

· It provides color therapy that is very grounding

· It does not emit harmful electromagnetic fields, as do most of the far infrared saunas.

· Near infrared is very healing for the body, along with a little middle infrared and far infrared that the unit also produces.

FEATURES OF OUR INEXPENSIVE NEAR INFRARED LIGHT SAUNA

The near infrared light sauna we offer has the following features:

Very Low Operating Cost. Uses 750-watts, about half that of a hair dryer or typical portable electric room heater.

Extremely Portable. The complete unit weighs about 20 pounds and can easily be moved about your home if necessary.

Easy Assembly. The frame, made of 3/4-inch PVC water pipe, is low toxicity and assembles in about 10 minutes with no tools, fasteners or glue needed.

The heating unit contains three 250-watt infrared heat lamps with a lamp guard and ceramic sockets, switch and power cord. The electrical unit mounts to the frame with four pipe straps and small screws and nuts.

Two layers of cotton canvas slip over the top of the unit for insulation and create a door without the need for fasteners.

The energy-efficient 250-watt infrared heat lamps provide both visible color therapy and infrared rays that can penetrate up to several inches inside the body.

The sauna is warrantied against defects in manufacturing problems for 90 days. We can take units back in good condition if you no longer want it and we will resell it for you. The return price we pay you depends on the unit’s condition and appearance when we receive it back. We will not return the shipping and handling fee of $90.00.

Plugs into any standard 110-volt outlet. No special wiring required. Uses only about 7 amps or 750 watts. It is quite a bit more energy efficient than either a traditional sauna or a far infrared sauna.

Heats up to its operating temperature of 115 degrees F. in less than 25 minutes in a 70-degree room with a non-concrete floor. If your floor is concrete, you must place a rug or mat over the concrete under the sauna for proper heating.

Does not include a small bench or stool to sit on. You may use any type of stool of metal, wood or plastic. The unit does not get hot enough to cause significant outgassing, even of plastic. However, if you are extremely sensitive to chemical odors, use a wooden or metallic stool.

No maintenance is required except periodically spraying the frame and cover with Oxyclean or another non-toxic cleaner if it becomes soiled or smelly. We do not recommend laundering the cover as it might shrink, although some people have done this. It is better to spot clean any soiled areas.

Product Description

The infrared lamp frame sauna consists of a frame, an electrical unit that attaches to the frame and a canvas cover.

The Sauna Frame. The frame is made of PVC pipe (white water pipe). The pieces just push together quickly without needing glue or fasteners. The material is strong and quite inert, meaning it does not outgas.

The Electrical Heat Unit. This consists of three red infrared heat lamps in ceramic sockets with a guard over the lamps, a switch and a 14-foot cord that plugs into any 110-120 volt wall outlet. It attaches directly to the frame. For international orders, we can supply a converter for 220 volt usage.

The Cover. The cover is two layers of pure cotton canvas, sewn to fit tightly over the frame. The canvas is cut so that the two layers form a door opening that closes to seal in the heat without the need for clips or zipper or other fasteners. The cover has no bottom so that you can easily clean under the unit and move it without difficulty.

The unit assembles in under an hour with just a screwdriver and only weighs about 25 pounds for portability. It uses 750 watts of power, about half that used by a typical hair dryer or room heater. The sauna’s dimensions are about five feet high, four feet wide and four feet long. However, the unit narrows to two feet wide at one end.

The sauna will heat up quickly in any room temperature environment. If you place it in a colder area such as a cold basement or garage, you will need to add insulation between the layers of canvas such as blankets, foam, comforters or other to maintain the heat inside the unit.

The sauna comes with complete assembly instructions and instructions for basic sauna protocol.

Bench. All parts are provided except a small bench or stool to sit on, which you provide. Any type of stool made of wood, metal or even plastic will work. The best kind of stool is one without a back, as one turns 90 degrees in this sauna every five minutes or so to expose all sides of the body to the total power of the infrared rays emitted by the lamps.
Shipping. Saunas are shipped in two boxes by UPS Ground or Priority Mail. We can also ship overnight. There is an extra shipping and handling fee for Priority or overnight service.
