INFRARED LIGHT SAUNA
FEATURES OF THE NEAR INFRARED
LIGHT SAUNA
The unit consists of two layers of heavy
cotton canvas that are sewn to fit tightly over a frame made of ¾-inch
PVC water pipe. This is a very low
toxicity, and durable pipe frame.
An electrical heat unit straps to the frame and contains three,
250-watt, reddish infrared heat lamps with a guard over the lamps and a switch
to turn on the unit. A 13-foot
lamp cord is provided to plug the unit into any 110-volt outlet. The sauna should last for years. For international orders, we can supply
a voltage converter for 220 volts.
Very Low Operating Cost. Uses 750 watts of electricity. This is about 1/3 less than a far
infrared type of sauna. It is also
about half the electricity required for a hair dryer or typical portable
electric room heater.
Extremely Portable. The complete unit weighs about 25
pounds and can easily be moved about your home if necessary. The dimensions are about 4 feet long by
four feet wide, and about five feet high.
Easy Assembly. The frame assembles in less than 30 minutes without the need
for any tools, fasteners or other connectors. A screwdriver is needed to attach the electrical unit to the
frame with four pipe straps. The
two 100% cotton canvas covers slip over the top of the unit.
The door is made of cotton flaps that
seal the entrance without needing any fasteners.
The energy-efficient 250-watt infrared
heat lamps are rated for 5000 hours, which means they should last for at least
3 to 5 years, and they are inexpensive to replace. They provide both visible color therapy and infrared rays
that can penetrate up to several inches inside the body. They will penetrate more deeply than
the rays in a far infrared sauna because all of the power is concentrated on
one wall of the sauna.
No special wiring required. The unit uses less than 8 amps or 750
watts.
The unit will heat up to its operating
temperature of 115 degrees F. in less than 20 minutes in a 70-degree room with
a non-concrete floor. If your
floor is concrete, you must place a rug or mat over the concrete under the
sauna for proper heating. If you
wish to set up the sauna in an unheated space such as a cold garage or patio,
you will need to place blankets or other insulating material over and around
the frame to further insulate it.
The sauna is guaranteed against any
manufacturing defects for 1 year.
You may return the unit at any time if
it is in good condition. The
return price we pay you depends on the unitÕs condition and appearance when we
receive it back. We do not return
the shipping and handling fee of $90.00.
All electrical parts of the unit are UL
approved. The complete unit is not
UL approved, as this is a long process that we have not completed.
Includes all instructions for setup and
care, and a compact disc program containing basic sauna protocol instructions,
cautions, visualization exercises and much more.
The unit does not include a small bench to sit on. You may use any type of bench or stool made of metal, wood
or plastic. The unit does not get
hot enough to cause significant outgassing, even with a plastic bench. However, if you are extremely sensitive
to chemical odors, use a wooden or metallic stool or bench.
No maintenance is required except
periodically spraying the frame and cover with Oxyclean or another non-toxic
cleaner if it becomes soiled or smelly.
We do not recommend laundering the cover as it might shrink, although
some people have done this. It is
better to spot clean any soiled areas.
BENEFITS

Helps improve infections, both chronic and acute, by heating
the body one or two degrees to improve the immune response.
á
Helps remove debris and congestion in and on the skin to
regenerate the skin as the major eliminative organ of the body.

Powerfully shunts the blood to the body surface to reduce
heat. This helps decongest the
internal organs such as the liver, kidneys, spleen and pancreas for improved
organ function.

Moves energy downward in the body, which is helpful for
healing.
á
The warmth and color therapy are calming and relaxing to the
sympathetic nervous system.
á
May generate heat shock proteins that help regenerate
tissue.

MORE
DETAILS ON THE NEAR INFRARED LIGHT SAUNA
The near infrared light sauna is
a new type of sauna available only in the past 8 years. It is unique in that it makes use of
infrared heat lamps to heat the sauna, instead of either a traditional hot
rocks heater or far infrared heating elements that are used in all far infrared
saunas. The near infrared type is
not well-known so this page will provide more details about it. Also, click
here to read a more extensive article on the differences between a far infrared
and a near infrared sauna.
Feedback from our clients is that the
near infrared type is better. The
advantages are:
á
It uses about one third less electricity than a far infrared
type of sauna, so it is quite a bit less expensive to operate.
á
It operates at about 110 to 120 degrees F. This is considerably lower than most far
infrared saunas. This means it needs
less preheating and operates at a more comfortable temperature.
á The
rays penetrate about twice as deeply as in far infrared saunas.
This is most helpful for healing deep infections and removing toxic metals from
deep inside the body.
á The
rays can easily be focused on one part of the body. The reason for this is the heat
source is all concentrated on one wall. One cannot focus all the heat and infrared energy on a
particular part of the body with a far infrared sauna because the heaters are
scattered throughout the sauna.
á It
provides built-in color therapy that is very grounding
á It
does not emit harmful electromagnetic fields, as do most of the far infrared
saunas.
á Near
infrared is very healing for the body, along with a little middle infrared and
far infrared that the unit also produces.
