SENDING IN A HAIR SAMPLE FOR A MINERAL
ANALYSIS RETEST
Following
are the instructions for sending in a hair sample for a hair analysis retest.
1)
Cut a sample of your hair. Be sure to follow the
instructions below. Proper hair
sampling is important!
2)
Fill out the retest information sheet.
print these in pdf format. If
this does not work, trying clicking here to
view and print this sheet.
Please print this and fill out completely.
3)
Include the fee.
The basic fee is $150.00. The retest fee for children and adults is the same.
The
fee includes a hair analysis retest, your new healing program in a long letter
and, often, other written material.
It takes about three weeks to receive your program from the time you
send your hair sample.
When
you receive your program, read it through. Write down any questions you have. Then call Dr. McHaney, DC at (480) 830-5117 to set up your
half-hour consultation to discuss the results and your new program. Telephone hours are 8-10 AM, Mountain
Standard Time. The fee includes
this consultation and, if needed, other short follow-up phone calls.
If
you would like the extra interpretation profile from the laboratory computer, please
enclose an additional $40.00 for this profile. It is not necessary, but provides extra information from the
laboratory in a 12-15 page booklet.
If
you would like the extra laboratory diet profile, please enclose an extra
$45.00. This is not necessary, as
we will send you dietary suggestions.
However, this provides extra information in a 25-page booklet and is
more helpful when your oxidation type has changed. There is no way to know this in advance, however.
Send
payment by a check in US dollars, money order or credit card.
4)
Mail all these to us at PO Box 54, Prescott, AZ 86302-0054. Mailing these via overnight service will speed up
processing, if you wish.
Your Retest
Program:
You
will receive a copy of your test and a long letter outlining your new program
and perhaps other written material.
Your new program for the next 4 - 6 months or more will include:
1)
Suggestions for an individualized diet and drinking water.
2)
Specific nutritional supplementation and product suggestions.
3)
Lifestyle modifications, including how much rest and sleep to obtain, exercise, sunshine, deep
breathing, relaxation and much more depending on your situation.
4)
A cleansing and detoxification program that may include sauna therapy, colon cleansing and other
methods or reducing the toxic load of the body.
5)
Mental/emotional training and recommendations for other health treatments such as chiropractic care or
medical attention of other kinds if we feel these would be helpful.
If
you have questions, please feel free to call me at (928) 445-7690 or email to Larry@drlwilson.com.
How to
Cut A Hair Sample
We
need about a tablespoon of hair. A
little less will do if you do not have a lot of hair to give. The hair on the back of the head often
grows fastest and is easiest to sample.
Hair
preparation: Make sure
your hair has been washed, preferably with a mild soap or with shampoo, within
48 hours. Using a conditioner or
rinse is okay, but it would be best to just use soap or a very mild shampoo for
the best results. Do not place
other products on the hair just before
cutting the hair sample such as hair cream, hair spray or others.
Tints,
dyes, color rinses (such as henna) and highlighting: These can be on your hair when you cut a sample for
analysis. We are aware that some
laboratories do not allow these products or hair treatments when taking a
sample for a hair analysis.
However,
we find that they usually no not affect the test enough to force you to wait
for weeks to send in your sample.
In fact, most tints, dyes and rinses do not contain many minerals so
they will not affect the test at all.
The more natural the hair, however, the greater the accuracy.
Bleaches
and Permanents: After a bleach or permanent, especially
a beauty parlor permanent, wash your hair four or five times before sending in
a sample as these affect the hair structure and may have more effect on the
test results.
Hair
Cutting Procedure: Cut several
small snips of hair as close as possible to the scalp. You may cut the samples from along the sides, top or back of
the head. Place the samples on a
clean table with the cut end facing you.
Now cut off any long ends of hair that are over 1 inch (or about 2
centimeters) long. The long ends
of hair are older and are not as good for sampling. The new hair, near the scalp, is much better.
You
will have enough hair when the 1-inch cut samples will fill an ordinary
tablespoon. Combine these and
place in a clean, paper envelope although a plastic bag will do. Write your name, age and date of sampling on the envelope.
Do
not use pubic hair, as it is less accurate, unless you have no other option.
Additional
Available Analysis Profiles
Analytical
Research Laboratories, the only hair analysis testing facility I recommend most
of the time, offers a dietary profile.
It is generated based on your oxidation rate and some changes depending
on your individual test values.
Extra
Interpretation Profile - $40.00 extra. The laboratory will include an extra 12 or more pages of
interpretation data about your report.
This is a recently updated, individualized report that I highly
recommend. However, it is not
necessary if funds are limited.
Extra
Dietary Profile - $45.00 extra.
The laboratory will provide about 25 pages of personalized information
regarding your diet, with menus, suggestions for changing eating habits,
several transition diets and many tips about shopping, food preparation,
cooking utensils and other diet-related items. This profile is also highly recommended, especially if you
are just beginning to make many dietary changes. Usually, you only need to order this on the first hair
analysis.
How To
Send the Fee:
You may pay
us: 1) with a check in US dollars from a United States bank, or 2) a money
order in dollars, or 3) you may send credit card information. We will never share this with anyone
and will destroy it once we debit your account. We accept VISA, Mastercard, AMEX and Discover Card. We also need the security code (3 or 4
numbers) from the back of the card.
The
fee is for the hair mineral analysis, the consultation on a CD with
recommendations for an individualized diet, nutritional supplements, lifestyle
modifications, detoxification program and more.
It
also includes follow-up, preferably by telephone calls that may be up to 15
minutes each. You may also keep in
touch via email. Please keep
emails short. We may charge a
consultation fee if you desire a longer phone call or for a series of long
emails. Ask about this in advance,
if needed.
IF YOU ALREADY
HAVE A RETEST HAIR TISSUE MINERAL ANALYSIS
We
can interpret your hair mineral test and set up a new program for you based on
it. If possible, use Anlytical
Research Laboratories or Trace Elements, Inc for your test. All other labs wash the hair, which we
find makes these tests less accurate and much harder to work with. However, we will use them to save money
if this is what you have.
For this retesting service with your own
retest:
1)
If you have not worked with us in the past, print and fill out the two
information sheets. Click here to print
the sheets in pdf format. If
this does not work, try clicking here to
print out these sheets.
2)
Send us a copy of just the graph page(s) of your retest hair analysis. We do
not need a whole booklet of interpretation or recommendations.
3)
Also send us a copy of any old tests that you have available.
4) Enclose
a check for $250.00 if this is the first time you are working with us. If you have worked with us on your
previous analysis, the basic fee is $130.00.
4)
Send the copy of the test, the information sheets and a check, money order or
credit card information to Dr. Lawrence Wilson, PO Box 54, Prescott, AZ
86302-0054.
Your
program will include a long letter explaining your new program, and often other
written material. When you receive
it, read it carefully and write down any questions you have. Then call Dr. McHaney, DC at (480)
830-5117 to set up your half-hour consultation that is included in the fee. Office hours are 8-10 AM, Mountain
Standard Time.
