CORRECTIONS AND UPDATES FOR THE SAUNA THERAPY BOOK

by Lawrence Wilson, MD

THIS PAGE UPDATED ON October 20, 2011

1. P. 58.  Please avoid high-dose niacin.  Recent research is showing that it is not necessary, and more importantly, it is very toxic and difficult to remove from the liver in our experience.  It is a bad idea.

2. Using a sauna with breast implants.  We have not had any reports of problems using a near infrared lamp sauna if one has breast implants.  If you are concerned, wear a bikini top or bra in the sauna, and this will protect the area from the penetrating infrared light.

Anyone, by the way, may wear a bikini bathing suit in the sauna and this works fine.

3. In the 2006 edition only, P. 156. RESOURCES:

Parts.  To order a near infrared frame sauna or parts, the new phone number is 1 (888) 330-6456.

Country Ray Saunas. A new phone number is (814) 349-5212, extension 4.
