Hydroponics means growing vegetables in just water and a nutrient
solution. In other words, it is
growing vegetables without soil.
Hydroponics is used around the world for growing some vegetables and
other products because in some situations, it is much easier, simpler and less
costly.
Hydroponics avoids a number of problems associated with growing a
garden pulling weeds, finding good soil, tilling the soil, keeping the rabbits
and other animals away, having to water the garden, and more. It also uses less water and one can
grow things anywhere the sun shines.
A simple hydroponic gardening system is available on the internet at http://www.towergarden.com.
