This short article is a warning to young women, in particular, that they should avoid patronizing gyms, health and fitness clubs.  I am sorry to have to write this.

The reason to avoid these places is that it has been brought to my attention that these locations are used to ÒrecruitÓ young women into various types of cults.  This is a nice way to say that sexual thugs frequent these locations and use them to identify targets to be raped and subsequently ÒinductedÓ into cults and gangs.

Facilities at health clubs are also often not clean and sterile.  These include workout machines, saunas, steam baths, and definitely swimming pools and hot tubs.  Always avoid pools and hot tubs where many people bath, as they are all contaminated with infections that are not destroyed by chlorine, bromine and other sanitizing chemicals used in pools and hot tubs.

ALTERNATIVES TO HEALTH CLUBS, GYMS AND FITNESS CLUBS

I know that many people enjoy health and fitness clubs for their exercise facilities, as well as for the social interaction they find at these places.  However, there are many other safer places to meet people.

I suggest exercising at home.  One can often purchase exercise equipment secondhand, at yard sales and other places if one cannot afford new equipment.  For much more detailed advice about exercise, read Exercise on this website.
