SURVIVAL

There are rules that will keep you much safer in this world. You wonÕt agree with all of them, perhaps. That is not necessary. They will keep you far safer, however, if you will listen. That is all the introduction these rules require.
HEALTH
Rule #1. watch your health carefully. It is a health jungle out there. Health is far more important than your wealth because if you have your health you can always get another job, boyfriend or girlfriend, house and all the rest. If you lose your health, however, you are in big trouble.
Rule #2. The most important facts about health are not out in the media. These are diet and rest. In fact, the way to find the truth is to stay away from the media, in general.
Rule #3. Junk food, junk water, a drink of alcohol or two or other indiscretions are not worth the thrill. Also, the best way to protect yourself is to avoid all extreme diets, including all vegetarian diets and raw foods, and to stick with tried and true methods of caring for yourself.
Rule #4. Rest is all important Š up to 12 hours daily if you feel you need it. Running away from life is not the idea, but most people are very overtired and it is taxing the bodies and causing every mental and physical ailment possible.
Rule #5. Drink distilled or spring water only. Carbon filtered and reverse osmosis or RO water are okay, but not nearly as good. The rest is toxic, no matter how crystal clear it looks or even tastes. DonÕt drink any water that tastes bad.
MONEY AND FINANCES
Rule #1. DonÕt tell anyone, preferably, about your finances unless required by law. In other words, keep money matters as private as possible. This includes safeguarding your passwords, identification and all else connected with money.
Also, do not reveal any information about anyone elseÕs assets either. This is vital because there are millions of thieves who just wait to steal your and other peopleÕs assets, usually via identity theft or electronically.
Keep valuable possessions in the house preferably locked away or in as afe. This is more important in a way, because a thief in the house could kill someone, either on purpose or by accident, even.
Many desperate people are stealing
more and more, unfortunately. This
also has to do with a reduced sense of personal property rights in America.
Rule 2. Learn to live simply. Learn to get along on minimum expenditures for everything. This does not mean to skimp on good food, pure water, a safe, clean place to live or other necessities.
However, it means not to shop till you drop and not to want all sorts of items. There is no reason and they just clutter the house. Times are going to get a lot tougher for Americans and many other nations as well
So be prepared with cash reserves and a no frills lifestyle. It works and the other way works less well and causes far more stress.
Rule #3. Money can cause stress or remove it. Money is basic. DonÕt live hand to mouth for any length of time. It is not worth the stress. Many young people think it is cool. It is not cool for most people. Stress of any kind makes people sick and even kills them. DonÕt be a fool with money.
Rule #4. We are in inflationary times. Get out and stay out of debt or you may lose your house, your car and more. Instead, pay off debts and sit tight with what you have. DonÕt overspend as economic times are rocky for the next 10 years at least.
IDENTITY THEFT
Rule #1. Keep your finances to yourself, along with all credit card numbers, social security numbers, driver license number and other identification information. Never give these out a doctorÕs offices, for car loans or anytime unless you are sure it is absolutely required.
Go to www.OneYou.com. It puts a fraud alert on your social security number and no one can open a credit card account with your social security number without your permission. It works, I believe, quite well. The cost is under $100.00 per year right now, less for a couple or family. It is well worth the effort and cost if you use credit cards, particularly.
Rule #2. If possible, do not use credit or debit cards. They will always be somewhat risky. Do not be lured in by frequent flyer miles or other ŅbenefitsÓ. These would mean nothing if you had an identity theft, which is going to get worse before it gets better.
Rule #3. DonÕt make a habit of talking about credit cards to anyone. You never know who is listening.
Rule #4. DonÕt carry any more ID or credit or debit cards than absolutely necessary. It is a pain in the neck when these are lost or worse, stolen.
Rule #5, Carry some cash for emergencies, but not more than $100.00. Cash is always best for emergencies. You can even hide a $100.00 bill somewhere in your car for such emergencies. However, donÕt carry lots of cash, either, as it makes you a target.
Airports have cash detectors these days, so definitely donÕt carry a lot of cash on a plane as it can arouse suspicion in the authorities.
SEX
Rule #1. Young men and boys, keep it in your pants and girls and women, keep your panties on. The exception is unless you are in a committed relationship. At minimum, this means you have known the person for at least one solid month of dating once a week or preferably longer.
This is critical for your mental health, your physical health and your spiritual development. Do not doubt that you will have to answer for any transgressions in this area.
Do not be tempted by pretty girls with low-cut dresses, topless dancers or anyone else.
This one cannot be overemphasized today. Most people have no idea of all the diseases out there, and over one-fourth of the teens are already infected due to loose morals, as they used to call it.
Parents, keep your children home on weekends or know where they are and with whom. Camping trips overnight with boys and girls are a terrible idea, for example. I donÕt care if it is a church-sponsored trip unless there are enough counselors who are mature enough and known in the community to be hard heads in this area.
Rule #2. Also skip oral sex,
known as blow jobs in common language.
Rule #3. Anal sex for the boys and lesbian sex for the girls is even more dangerous. I know this offends some but it is the truth, sorry to say.
Rule #4. Even kissing random individuals is not wise. This is just the truth of diseases today that are easily transmitted by body fluids. So unless you like oral herpes or cold sores and many other ailments of the mouth, let others do all the kissing. Hugging is just fine.
FAMILY
Rule #1. Family is mainly for children. Most blood relations are karmic. This means they occur so people have an opportunity to work out their differences. If you have progressed beyond the need for this, then family of origin is not important for you, no matter what anyone tells you.
Rule #2. Most family ties are bogus. If family ties are karmic and you are no longer a child, then family ties are mainly bogus. Be wise, here. Do not get sucked into family arguments and the rest. It is better to do without an inheritance in most cases than to be at each otherÕs throats.
Rule #3. Be even more wary of
family gatherings and participating in conflicts and situations that are from
the past in the family.
This is not so much for physical danger, as that it will slow down your spiritual progress, which depends on leaving the past in the past.
FRIENDS
Rule #1. Know your friends. Do not use the term lightly. Let us reivew the definition.
A friend is someone you have known for more than a few weeks and can trust implicitly. This means that you would put your life in their hands if necessary.
A friend is not a drinking buddy, someone to go to the movies with, a sex partner whom you are not in a committed relationship with, or just someone you meet and chat with at the last party or gathering.
Rule #2. Real friends care about you and donÕt let you just do what you want. You can tell who your real friends are because they should be your conscience when you step out of line. They should speak up firmly when you lie, cheat, steal or do anything else that is not in your highest interest. They should say Ņyou look tired. LetÕs go home earlyÓ, instead of thinking only of themselves.
Unfortunately, most young people run from this type of friend, who is often a parent or some other adult. But this is how you should judge anyone you are thinking of calling a friend.
Rule #3. Real friends stick with you through good times and bad. This is another way to tell who are your real friends. Did they lend you money when you really needed it, or just when they thought you had enough to pay them back?
Your life will get better if you ask these tough questions. You will fail if you do not and you misjudge people, especially ones you think about marrying or living with.
Rule #4. Get to know anyone you are thinking of rooming with. This is more important today then ever before.
Get references if needed. Do whatever it takes to feel reassured you will not be raped, burglarized, go to jail for a drug bust or left with thousands of dollars of unpaid bills.
Too many irresponsible people rip off good people who are not careful enough about screening their friends, sex partners, marriage partners and roommates.
DRESS
Rule #1. DonÕt flaunt it. This is more for the girls and women. If you want to attract attention, do it other ways. Flaunting your body can get you into serious trouble with rapists, burglars, peeping toms, stupid hormone-driven boys and men and more. So be wise and dress modestly or conservatively.
Rule #2. Keep warm. Many young people find it cool to be cold, or at least to not think about warmth when dressing for the day or when going out.
Catching a cold is no fun. Better to always bring or wear clothing warmer than you think you will need. Also, keeping a sweater or jacket in your car is an excellent idea.
ALCOHOL AND OTHER DRUGS, LEGAL
AND ILLEGAL
Rule #1. Alcohol and all drugs are toxic. Alcohol depletes zinc, magnesium, B-complex vitamins and much more. It kills cells in your liver and your brain. It will disable your mind and that of any children you ever have in the future. Stay away.
Other drugs, including many prescription drugs, are often even worse. Illegal drugs can be and often are cut with all sorts of toxic substances like talcum powder, heroin and more. Stay away double.
Rule #2. Alcohol is dangerous to your mental health as well. Alcohol and most illegal drugs take away your inhibitions and your judgment. Alcohol and some drugs are even more toxic for women. If you have a brain left, do not drink or use illegal drugs at all.
Rule #3. Alcohol and most medications have no place in spiritual development. Alcohol stops spiritual development cold in may cases. It is usually about the past and Ņthe good old daysÓ. It has no place in a proper spiritual development program.
A glass of wine or other Ņsocial drinkingÓ wonÕt kill you, but is a stupid move also. Skip it totally.
Drugs have a place in medicine if
you must use them. Otherwise,
avoid all over-the-counter and prescription medications, as they are not needed
and are slow poisons. They derange
the brain in all sorts of unpredictable ways. Keep them from children as well, who can usually be cured
with natural methods faster and safer.
Using illegal drugs is just plain
stupid. I speak as one who tried
marijuana and though it made me dull.
I have also worked with numerous people who are now spending a fortune
to attempt to regain their brainpower destroyed by their or their parents
alcohol and drug use.
CLEANLINESS
Rule #1. Your house, your room and your car should be clean. Not spotless, but neat. If they are not, they are telling you that your mind is not alert and organized and thinking clearly. Observe this with your friends and even family members.
Rule #2. Keep the body clean. Bathing each day is not necessary, however, and in fact is harmful in most instances. The reason is all the chemicals in the water. A few of the deadlier ones are chlorine, fluorides, toxic metals, pharmaceutical drug residues and more.
Rule #3. Watch others for this also. DonÕt associate with people who are ill-mannered or dirty. These are people to avoid, as a general rule.
POLITICS
Rule #1. Vote Republican or
Libertarian, rathere than Democrat.
In Europe, vote for the Ņright-wing party rather than for a liberal or
socialist party.
I know this will anger and upset many. So let me explain. This has everything to do with spiritual principles. Socialists, liberals, left-wing people in general want the government to save them, save the environment, save the whales and more.
However, people are supposed to be in power, not the government. No political system is perfect and they are far from it. However, free enterprise capitalism is far better than socialism any day. Anyone who speaks otherwise is living in the head, unaware of history of the Soviet Union and Naziism or exploiting you. This is why the entire world is embracing the capitalist system as fast as they can.
Socialists also want government-controlled health care, an unmitigated disaster spiritually. People should be paying for their health care so they learn to take care of themselves. Having the state do it for them just makes them lazier, as is seen in Canada and Europe.
Socialists also want to outlaw guns. It does not matter what they claim the reasons are. This is not helpful at this time for freedom in our world. Dictatorships hate guns in the hands of the people for this reason. Guns in the peopleÕs hands is a control on the power of the government and it is needed for a while. Eventually it will not be needed but it is a good thing, no matter what you hear on TV.
Socialists want no more oil. This is good, but is causing extreme hardship in poor nations and will cause significant starvation for a while. So beware of the anti-oil crowd, too.
